Treated Borehole system
(Optional Extras)
A basic municipal water backup system consists of a buffer tank that is filled from the municipal line and a pump that can supply Water to the house or office at a maintained pressure.
Water is received from the municipal line and collected in a buffer tank. This supply is controlled by an automated shutt-off valve when the tank is full. An automatic pressure switch turns the pump on and off when taps are opened or closed, maintaining constant pressure in the pipework.
A series of manually operated valves are used to bypass the system in case of maintenance or failure.
In Addition to the basic backup system there are several optional extras available to enhance the experience and quality of water delivery to the house or office.
- A pressure or "bladder" tank helps to maintain consistent water pressure in pumped water supply systems where open and close cycles are frequent. It prevents the pump from starting up to deliver a very small amount of water and prevents pressure spikes that can damage plumbing fixtures and appliances.
- A Media filtration vessel cluster can consist of 1 or more pressure vessels using different media to achieve different filtration
or treatment objectives on a large scale. These vessels are equipped with electronically controlled filtration heads that perform
backwash and rinse cycles at preconfigured intervals to ensure a stable long term low maintenance treatment objective.
that could include:
- Sand or Activated Glass Medium - Removal of small solid particles
- Activated Carbon Filtration - Removal of colour, odor and taste
- Demineralisation - Removal of certain minerals
- Scale prevention - Protection of pipework against scaling
- pH Correction
- Tanin removal - Colour removal
- Remineralisation - Replacement of required minerals
- Water Softener - Removal of Calcium & Magnesium (Water Hardness)
- Metals Removal - Iron, Manganese, Other Heavy Metals, Arsenic, etc.
- A cartridge filtration cluster can consist of 1 or more filtration cartridges using different media to serve as a micro filtration polishing unit
- An UltraViolet lamp kills most bacteria
- A Variable speed drive Pump can automatically manage the rotational speed of the pump depending on the volume demand. This ensures a perfect continuity of water delivery with superior power saving efficiency
